Starting Something New
One year ago, I sold my company MadKudu to HG Insights. I’m super proud of that, and of the work we did over the last 12 months. HG is really well positioned for the new agentic GTM world.
It’s bittersweet, but I’ve decided to start something new.
It was hard, because I was excited about a few paths:
1: Continue the work at HG.
The HG data is unique. There is a huge opportunity to go after.
2: Starting a new GTM company.
GTM leaders are unhappy with their stack. It was built pre-genAI. Disruption is in progress. I know the space extremely well, and my network is in it. Why not do this now, while the window is wide open?
3: The crazy (and personal) one.
Being a co-founder and CEO forces you to up your game. I learned SO MUCH, and with the coaching I got, I picked up things that shouldn’t be reserved for CEOs. What if I simply gave back, and built products that make this available to everyone? Consumer products, new to me, harder.
I asked my wife, family, friends, advisors. Most recommended option three. “Go for what’s most fun.” It’s also about doing good in a very direct way.
So here we go: I’ve incorporated an AI-native venture studio, as a public benefit corporation (i.e. a for-profit legally committed to a public mission, not just shareholder returns).
We build products that help you play your best game and live your best life: think more clearly, learn better, do right by your money. Privacy, no lock-in, user value over profit.
This week was week one:
- Registered in Delaware, got the EIN, bank account live with Mercury.
- First landing page and ads campaign out to test demand. First signups in already!
- Built an AI crew of 22 agents running every function (meet them below 👇).

My wife said she was “very concerned” when she saw that each agent had a sweet little name and that I was spending lots of time with April. I told her not to worry. But internally, I thought… “is she right? My wife is always right. Should I worry?!” Well, we’ll see!
I’ll share progress here weekly, wins and dead ends.
And if you’d like early access to the products I’m working on: let me know on LinkedIn or reach out directly.
Going off-grid in Yellowstone this week. Then, back to working with April, I mean, building the studio, the week after.
